i’m not saying L.A. is some cultural mecca, but i really can’t stand when new yorkers hate on it having NEVER LIVED HERE. anyone who thinks history and culture hasn’t been influenced by the art, movies, and television made in los angeles is seriously mistaken. p.s.: we have a diverse population and museums, too. (and better weather year round. and cheaper rent. so suck on that.) (via kathlellen)

i wholly agree. a co-worker i had last year said, “with all the different kinds of people and neighborhoods in and around L.A., i can’t imagine anyone coming here and not finding their niche.”
